Charkit Chemical Company was founded in 1982. The first office was in Darien, CT with less than ten employees. After four office moves, Charkit is currently located in Norwalk, CT. Charkit initially focused on just a few industries that required specific specialty chemicals, with Charles as the sole sales representative. Shortly after, he began to develop Charkit’s infrastructure and hiring employees to support growing sales.
The expansion of internal resources and the targeting of strategic business alliances transformed Charkit into an important resource for ingredients used in higher performing personal care, food, flavor & fragrance, water treatment, imaging, metal treatment, nutritional, pharmaceutical, specialty chemicals, and more.
